Learning about Children's Day

Children's Day is a very special date that is celebrated in different countries around the world to recognize the importance of children in society and promote their rights and well-being.  In Columbia, Children's Day is celebrated on the last Saturday of April. Emily Pope shared her experiences of celebrating Children's Day in Columbia.  Students drew pictures to explain why they are important. 


Buckatunna Maintains "A" Rating for Second Year

4th Graders Travel to Ocean Adventures

Our fourth grade class recently traveled to Ocean Adventures in Gulfport, MS. Students were able to interact with marine animals, such as sting rays and sharks, and enjoyed a dolphin and sea lion show. Students also completed a dolphin rescue simulation as they learned about what goes into rescuing and rehabilitating marine mammals.
